Is my child ready for school?
Preschools and childcare are different environments. Your family may need childcare for your day to day life, but is your child ready for preschool, where there is fun and learning but also structure. To help you determine which setting is best for your family and child you can ask yourself the following questions: Is your child ready and seeking more peer socialization, can your child clearly communicate their needs, can they separate from their parents or guardians, are they potty trained? If your child is reaching these developmental milestones then they are likely ready for preschool.
Does my childhave to be potty trained to attend?
Yes. At Lion & Lamb children must be fully potty trained. Fully potty trained means that your child is able to feel their bodies needs and communicate that they need to use the restroom. Students who stay full day are not able to wear pull ups, so they must be able to sleep through nap time without the need for one.
How old must my child be to attend?
Children must be 3 years old to begin their attendance at Lion & Lamb.
What Christian curriculum do we use?
We take any opportunity we can during our days to point the children to Jesus. Whether they are dealing with an emotional moment or we are learning about nature in science, there is always an opportunity to bring Jesus into the conversation. During our students Bible learning time in class we use the same curriculum as Grace Church, which is The Bible Adventure Curriculum through Open Network.
What is play-based curriculum?
Play based learning is an approach to teaching that includes play as a central part of the learning process. Children will engage in enriching hands on activities to help reinforce our educational and emotional developmental goals.
